The Lord poured out His Spirit on a series of services in the great state of Florida. It was a blessing and a great way to start off 2011. St. Petersburg, Florida was the first set of meetings with our hosts Captains Gary and Liz Wilson. Then, it was just across the Bay Bridge to Tampa, Florida for services with Majors Paul and Dawn McFarland. Next, it was off to beautiful Fort Lauderdale with Majors Henry and Debbie Hudson.  The trip to Jacksonville, Florida was pleasant and the revival service was outstanding with Majors Ernie and Darlene Steadham.  The Roans made their way to Atlanta, Georgia to hold meetings with Major Lynda Delaney. The final stop in the string of revival services was in Orlando, Florida with Majors Mark and Lanelle Winters. It was an amazing six weeks of ministry. The Lord moved on the hearts of men in an awesome way. The altars were filled with repentant hearts. Men were saved; some rededicated their lives to Christ. Others were set free and delivered from their addictions. God was restoring families. The Roans considered it a tremendous blessing to be a part of what the officers at the various Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers have been doing for weeks, months, and years . . . battling for the souls of men.
As the Roans were rejoicing on one hand, they began to realize that there was another   battle lurking ahead. A long story cut short, Linda’s digestive track was slowly shutting down. They had a week off and headed back to Dallas to see the family doctor. He ordered a CT scan and quickly recognized a blockage. The closure was in the spot where Linda had 60% of her stomach removed over 30 years ago. The blockage needed to be opened, a scope was done, and stomach cancer was found. Linda had major surgery to remove the cancer, with chemo and radiation therapy on the horizon.  Oscar called and e-mailed friends, family, and men and women of God . . . to pray.
The Lord has been faithful to the Roans in so many ways over the years.  He has raised Linda from death’s door on several occasions before, and this battle is no different. The Roans are thankful for the great doctors, nurses, and for all they have done for Linda. They are thankful for the friends and family who have stood with them in this situation.
But they need a miracle from GOD ALMIGHTY. They know He is in the miracle working business. Please continue to stand in prayer with the Roans for a healing miracle. For they know and believe that all things are possible with God.
